Position
ASCET is an organization for engineering technicians, both certified and non-certified, run solely by those same technicians. Each elected position within the ASCET organization is filled on a voluntary basis by members who are willing to commit personal time to the efforts of advancement of the organization and of the engineering team. While we are each committed to protecting, progressing and acting as the voice of the engineering technician, our full time work and family obligations must come first. Each person elected to the ASCET Board of Directors has made a commitment to use as much of our personal time as we can to support this organization and advance the profession.
Executive Board members of ASCET are elected and volunteer their service and personal time to the advancement of the organization and the engineering team. These members are committed to protecting, progressing and projecting the voice of the engineering technician to the engineering team. Do note that our organization recognizes the importance of family and employment which are held paramount to service obligations.

Composition
The committee is comprised of the President, Sectretary-Treasurer, the seven Regional Vice Presidents and the Chairman of the Board. The General Manager is a non-voting advisor to the the committee.

Responsibility
The committee exercises the authority of the Board of Directors during intervals between meetings of the Board in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws.

Terms of Office
The President, Secretary-Treasurer and Vice Presidents serve two year terms.
The President and Secretary-Treasurer are elected by the entire voting membership in odd-numbered years.
The Vice Presidents are elected by the voting membership residing in the applicable regions. The Vice Presidents of the Northeastern, Southeastern, and Southwestern Regions are elected in odd-numbered years. The Vice Presidents of the Central, North Central, Pacific Northwest, and Western Regions are elected in even-numbered years.
The Chairman of the Board is a past President of the society and does not stand for election.
